Itinerary
Start your climb through gently sloping forested paths with opportunities to spot colobus monkeys and exotic birds. Overnight at Simba Camp.
Trek across moorland with magnificent views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Enjoy the quiet and serenity of the northern route.
Ascend into the alpine desert zone and prepare for high-altitude trekking. Stunning views of the surrounding peaks await.
Final approach to Kibo Hut through rocky terrain. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for summit night.
Start the summit push around midnight. Witness sunrise from Uhuru Peak, then descend to Horombo Hut for rest.
Final descent through moorland and forest back to the gate. Celebrate your achievement and transfer to Moshi or Arusha.
The 7-day itinerary adds an extra acclimatization day at Kikelewa or Mawenzi Tarn Camp, enhancing your summit success while allowing more time to enjoy the scenery.
