Itinerary

Trek through lush rainforest with chances to see colobus monkeys and exotic birds.

Enter the heather and moorland zone with stunning views of the Shira Plateau.

Leisurely trek across the plateau; enjoy panoramic views of Mount Meru.

Acclimatization day with a climb up to Lava Tower and descent to Barranco Valley.

Climb the famous Barranco Wall and trek across rolling ridges to Karanga.

Final preparation for summit night; rest and hydrate well.

Start early (midnight) to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise – Africa’s highest point. Descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
